Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui inovasi guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam mengembangkan karakter sopan santun siswa generasi alpha di SDN 2 Sopai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen, wali kelas V, serta siswa kelas V SDN 2 Sopai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi guru PAK dilakukan melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran seperti video, gambar, dan cerita Alkitab, serta metode diskusi, tanya jawab, dan bermain peran. Guru juga mengembangkan karakter siswa melalui pembiasaan dan keteladanan, seperti mengucapkan salam, menghargai orang lain, meminta maaf, dan mengucapkan terima kasih. Penerapan inovasi tersebut menunjukkan perkembangan karakter sopan santun siswa melalui perubahan perilaku dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran inovatif juga menunjukkan sikap positif karena pembelajaran lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami. ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the innovations implemented by christian religious education teachers in developing the politeness character of alpha generation students at SDN 2 Sopai. The study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observations and interviews with the christian religious education teacher, the grade v homeroom teacher, and grade v students at SDN 2 Sopai. The findings revealed that the christian religious education teacher's innovations were implemented through the use of instructional media such as videos, pictures, and bible stories, as well as learning methods including discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and role-playing activities. In addition, the teacher fostered students' character through habituation and exemplary behavior, such as greeting others, showing respect, apologizing, and expressing gratitude. The implementation of these innovative strategies contributed to the development of students' politeness character, as reflected in positive behavioral changes in their daily lives. Furthermore, students responded positively to the innovative learning process because it was more engaging and easier to understand.
