Abstract
Irianto Sara, 2020196672, “Analisis Dampak Kecanduan Game Mobile Legends Terhadap Pertumbuhan Spiritualitas Remaja Sekolah Minggu di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Moria Tondon.” Skripsi. Pembimbing I : Dr. Yonatan Sumarto, M.Th. dan Pembimbing II: Srimart Ryeni, M.Si. Tulisan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketergantungan remaja pada teknologi digital, khususnya game Mobile Legends, yang telah menggeser berbagai aspek kehidupan dan berdampak pada pertumbuhan spiritualitas remaja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana kecanduan tersebut berdampak secara spisifik terhadap pertumbuhan spiritualitas remaja Sekolah Minggu di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Moria Tondon. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecanduan game Mobile Legends menghambat pertumbuhan spiritualitas remaja. Hal ini terlihat dari menurunnya disiplin rohani, di mana remaja lebih memilih bermain game mobile legends daripada membaca Alkitab atau berdoa secara pribadi. Selain itu, fokus remaja saat ibadah menjadi terganggu karena pikiran mereka tetap tertuju pada game mobile legends, sehingga kehadiran di gereja cenderung hanya menjadi kewajiban formal. Temuan lain mengungkapkan bahwa remaja merasa lebih diterima dalam komunitas virtual dibandingkan komunitas gereja, yang menyebabkan mereka bersikap pasif dalam persekutuan. Sebagai kesimpulan, kecanduan ini melemahkan penguasaan diri dan hubungan pribadi remaja dengan Tuhan, sehingga diperlukan kerja sama antara keluarga dan gereja untuk memberikan pendampingan yang lebih tepat di era digital. This paper is motivated by adolescents' dependence on digital technology, particularly the game Mobile Legends, which has shifted various aspects of life and impacted their spiritual growth. The purpose of this study is to analyze how this addiction specifically impacts the spiritual growth of adolescents attending Sunday School at the Moria Tondon Congregation of the Toraja Church. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. The study's findings indicate that Mobile Legends game addiction hinders adolescents' spiritual growth. This is evident in their declining spiritual discipline, with adolescents preferring to play Mobile Legends rather than read the Bible or pray privately. Furthermore, adolescents' focus during worship services is disrupted because their minds remain focused on the game, making church attendance merely a formal obligation. Other findings reveal that adolescents feel more accepted in virtual communities than in church communities, leading to passive participation in fellowship. In conclusion, this addiction weakens adolescents' self-control and personal relationship with God, necessitating collaboration between families and churches to provide more appropriate guidance in the digital age.
