Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang optimalnya pengembangan potensi minat dan bakat anggota jemaat, khususnya oleh ketua PPGT di Jemaat Moria Ulusalu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan prinsip-prinsip servant leadership dalam pengembangan potensi anggota jemaat. Teori dasar yang digunakan adalah konsep servant leadership yang menekankan kepemimpinan yang melayani melalui kesadaran, empati, pendengaran, dan membangun komunitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa ketua PPGT telah menerapkan beberapa prinsip dasar servant leadership, namun penerapannya masih parsial. Prinsip seperti mendengarkan, berpikir konseptual, dan membangun komitmen terhadap pertumbuhan anggota telah dilakukan, namun belum maksimal. Upaya pengembangan potensi anggota dilakukan melalui kegiatan seperti pendataan minat dan bakat, pelibatan anggota dalam program internal, dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan eksternal. Diperlukan pendekatan yang lebih konsisten, inklusif, serta partisipatif agar pengembangan potensi anggota dapat tercapai secara optimal. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the suboptimal development of interests and talents among congregation members, particularly by the PPGT leader at the Moria Ulusalu Church. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of servant leadership principles in developing the potential of congregation members. The theoretical foundation used is the concept of servant leadership, which emphasizes leadership through awareness, empathy, listening, and building a community. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection methods including interviews, observation, and literature review. The results show that the PPGT leader has applied several basic principles of servant leadership, but the implementation remains partial. Principles such as listening, conceptual thinking, and commitment to members’ growth have been practiced but not to the fullest extent. Efforts to develop members’ potential include activities such as mapping interests and talents, involving members in internal programs, and participation in external activities. A more consistent, inclusive, and participatory approach is needed to ensure the optimal development of members’ potential.
