Abstract

Teny Frans Manopo "Studi Terhadap Filosofi To Sangserekan dan Implikasinya bagi Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Ekoteologis di Sekolah Minggu Gereja Toraja Jemaat Komba" Kehadiran Pandemi telah membawa perubahan yang signifikan dalam tatanan hidup masyarakat di era industri 5.0 saat ini. Hal ini pun berdampak dalam dunia pendidikan yang menuntut setiap insan pendidik untuk bisa beradaptasi dengan kebutuhan zaman. Pandemi sendiri melahirkan sebuah refleksi ekologis yang membuat setiap orang untuk menelisik korelasi fundamental antara manusia dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Hal inilah yang melatarbelakangi penulis dalam membuat tulisan ini guna menemukan pendekatan yang tepat dalam menghubungkan urgensi kedua hal tersebut. Orang Toraja telah memiliki pendekatan Pendidikan karakter dalam membangun kehidupannya yang tertuang dalam filosofi to sangserekan dan sangat relevan untuk mengembangkan konsep ekoteologis yang akan membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan pada peserta didik. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif didapatkan bahwa Sekolah Minggu Gereja Toraja yang menjadi bahagian dari lembaga Pendidikan informal, sangat strategis untuk mempertemukan konsep budaya lokal dengan nilai-nilai Alkitabiah yang akan menjadi fondasi untuk memperkokoh jati diri peserta didik yang berkarakter kristiani namun tetap dalam bingkai kearifan lokal setempat. ABSTRACT Teny Frans Manopo "Study of the To Sangserekan Philosophy and its Implications for Ecotheologically Based Character Education in the Sunday School of the Toraja Church of the Komba Congregation." The presence of the pandemic has brought about significant changes in people's lives in the current industrial era 5.0. This also has an impact on the world of education which requires every educator to be able to adapt to the needs of the times. The pandemic itself gave birth to an ecological reflection that made everyone examine the fundamental correlation between humans and their surrounding environment. This is the background for the author in writing this article in order to find the right approach in connecting the urgency of these two things. Torajan people have a character education approach in building their lives which is stated in the philosophy of To Sangserahan and is very relevant for developing ecotheological concepts that will shape students' environmentally caring character. Based on research conducted by the author using a qualitative approach, it was found that the Toraja Church Sunday School, which is part of an informal educational institution, is very strategic in bringing together local cultural concepts with Biblical values which will become the foundation for strengthening the identity of students who are Christian in character but remain within the framework of local wisdom.
