Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan kerja sama siswa kelas VIII SMP Kristen Makale dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Kondisi tersebut terlihat dari kurangnya kolaborasi, kepercayaan, dan kekompakan siswa selama proses pembelajaran, sehingga partisipasi dan interaksi antar siswa belum berlangsung secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kerja sama siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share (TPS). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 28 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan kerja sama siswa. Persentase kerja sama siswa pada pra-siklus sebesar 53% dan meningkat menjadi 75% pada Siklus I sehingga mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share (TPS) efektif dalam meningkatkan kerja sama siswa pada mata pelajaran pendidikan agama Kristen kelas VIII di SMP Kristen Makale. ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the low level of cooperation among eighth-grade students at Makale Christian Junior High School in Christian Religious Education learning. This condition was reflected in the lack of collaboration, trust, and cohesiveness among students during the learning process, resulting in less optimal participation and interaction. The purpose of this study was to improve students’ cooperation through the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) cooperative learning model. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles involving 28 students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation and documentation. The results showed an improvement in students’ cooperation skills. The percentage of student cooperation in the pre-cycle was 53% and increased to 75% in Cycle I, thereby achieving the predetermined success indicators. These findings indicate that the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) cooperative learning model was effective in improving students’ cooperation in Christian Religious Education learning for eighth-grade students at Makale Christian Junior High School.
