Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi perilaku membolos pada siswa kelas VIII.8 SMPN 1 Rantepao melalui penerapan teknik self-management dalam kegiatan konseling kelompok. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan dengan siklus Kurt Lewin, yang melibatkan perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi secara berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik self-management dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan kehadiran siswa dan mengurangi tingkat membolos. Keberhasilan diukur berdasarkan penurunan persentase siswa yang membolos di bawah 31%, serta meningkatnya kategori disiplin siswa. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat memberi manfaat bagi guru dan pihak sekolah dalam mengatasi permasalahan membolos dan meningkatkan perilaku positif siswa. ABSTRACT This research aims to reduce truancy behavior among eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Rantepao through the application of self-management techniques within group counseling activities. The approach used is action research based on Kurt Lewin’s cycle, which involves planning, action, observation, and reflection continuously. The results indicate that implementing self-management techniques is effective in increasing student attendance and decreasing truancy levels. Success is measured by reducing the percentage of truant students below 31% and improving students’ discipline categories. This study is expected to provide benefits for teachers and schools in addressing truancy issues and fostering positive student behaviors.
