Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media audio visual dalam layanan bimbingan kelompok untuk mengurangi perilaku merokok di kalangan siswa kelas XII.5 SMA Kristen Makale. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus yang melibatkan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Layanan bimbingan dilakukan melalui tahapan pembentukan, peralihan, inti, dan pengakhiran penyampaian materi, tayangan video, serta diskusi kelompok. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media audio visual meningkatkan keaktifan, pemahaman, dan motivasi siswa dalam mengurangi perilaku merokok. disarankan agar guru, kepala sekolah, dan peneliti lain mengimplementasikan pendekatan ini untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang menarik dan efektif dalam pencegahan perilaku merokok di kalangan remaja. ABSRTRACT This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using audiovisual media in group counseling services to prevent smoking behavior among twelfth-grade students at SMA Kristen Makale. The research methodology employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles, involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The counseling services were carried out through transitional, core, and ending phases, which included delivering material, showing videos, and group discussions. Observation result indicate that the application of audiovisual media enhances student’s activeness, understanding, and motivation to reduce smoking behavior. It is recommended that teachers, principals, and other researchers implement this approach to create an engaging and effective learning environment for preventing adolescent smoking behavior.
