Abstract

Garry Rulian, menulis skripsi ini dengan judul “Tinjauan Teologis Praktis Dampak Penggunaan Kidung Pujian Kontemporer terhadap Spiritualitas Gereja Toraja Jemaat Rantetallang”. Program Studi Teologi Kristen, Fakultas Teologi dan Sosiologi Kristen, Institut Agama Kristen Negeri (IAKN) Toraja. Di bawa bimbingan Syukur Matasak, M.Th. dan Hardi Saputra, M.Th. Tulisan ini berangkat dari kekhawatiran bahwa penggunaan kidung pujian kontemporer dapat menggeser dan memengaruhi nilai-nilai teologis tradisi Gereja Toraja dan identitas gereja. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah menganalisis dampak penggunaan Kidung pujian kontemporer terhadap spiritualitas Gereja Toraja Jemaat Rantetallang. Pendekatan analisis yang digunakan ialah Teologi praktis yakni sebuah pendekatan yang mengaitkan konsep-konsep teologi dengan praktik ibadah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Kidung pujian kontemporer secara selektif dan selaras dengan ajaran serta doktrin Gereja Toraja memberikan dampak positif pertumbuhan spiritualitas jemaat. Kata Kunci: Kidung pujian kontemporer, Spiritualitas, Dampak, Teologi Praktis ABSTRACT Garry Rulian, wrote this thesis with the title "A Practical Theological Review of the Impact of the Use of Contemporary Hymns on the Spirituality of the Toraja Church of Rantetallang Congregation". Christian Theology Study Program, Faculty of Christian Theology and Sociology, State Christian Institute Toraja. Under the guidance of Syukur Matasak, M.Th. and Hardi Saputra, M.Th. This paper stems from concerns that the use of contemporary hymns could shift and influence the theological values of the Toraja Church tradition and its identity. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the use of contemporary hymns on the spirituality of the Rantetallang Congregation of the Toraja Church. The analytical approach used is practical theology, an approach that links theological concepts with worship practices in daily life. This study employed descriptive qualitative methods. The results indicate that the selective use of contemporary hymns in harmony with the teachings and doctrines of the Toraja Church has a positive impact on the spiritual growth of the congregation.
