Abstract

Stres belajar merupakan gejala psikologis yang umum dialami oleh siswa saat menghadapi tuntutan akademik. Penelitian ini membahas stres belajar yang dialami siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Tana Toraja, khususnya bagaimana bentuk stres tersebut dan bagaimana siswa menilai stres belajar berdasarkan teori stres kognitif Richard Lazarus. Teori ini memandang stres sebagai hasil dari penilaian kognitif individu terhadap situasi (primary appraisal) dan kemampuan diri untuk menghadapinya (secondary appraisal). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk stres belajar siswa serta menganalisis penilaian kognitif mereka. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif umum dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap tiga informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami stres karena tugas yang menumpuk, ujian mendadak, dan metode pengajaran yang kurang dipahami. Siswa menilai tekanan akademik sebagai ancaman jika tidak siap dan sebagai tantangan jika merasa mampu. Dukungan dari guru, teman, dan orang tua membantu siswa dalam menghadapi stres. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya memahami dinamika appraisal dalam konteks stres belajar. Kata Kunci: Stres belajar, Appraisal, Richard Lazarus. ABSTRACT Study stress is a psychological symptom commonly experienced by students when facing academic demands. This research discusses learning stress experienced by class This theory views stress as the result of an individual's cognitive assessment of a situation (primary appraisal) and one's own ability to deal with it (secondary appraisal). The aim of this research is to describe the forms of student learning stress and analyze their cognitive assessments. The method used is a general qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews and observation of three informants. The research results show that students experience stress due to piling up assignments, sudden exams, and poorly understood teaching methods. Students perceive academic pressure as a threat if they are not ready and as a challenge if they feel capable. Support from teachers, friends and parents helps students deal with stress. This research confirms the importance of understanding appraisal dynamics in the context of learning stress.
