Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) berdasarkan teori Elmer George Homrighausen dan relevansinya dengan filosofi lokal Sekong Sirenden Sipomandi yang berkembang dalam budaya masyarakat Rongkong, Kabupaten Luwu Utara. Nilai-nilai kristiani seperti kasih, kejujuran, kesabaran, dan tanggung jawab menjadi inti dari pembentukan karakter peserta didik, yang dalam konteks ini diintegrasikan dengan nilai-nilai lokal yang menekankan pada solidaritas, kebersamaan, dan kerja sama sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan model etno-edukasi, di mana data diperoleh melalui studi pustaka, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi di SMA Negeri 14 Luwu Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa filosofi Sekong Sirenden Sipomandi memiliki keterkaitan kuat dengan prinsip-prinsip iman Kristen sebagaimana dirumuskan oleh Homrighausen, khususnya dalam dimensi spiritual, moral, sosial, dan personal. Filosofi ini tidak hanya mencerminkan nilai-nilai budaya lokal, tetapi juga dapat menjadi media efektif dalam pendidikan karakter berbasis iman kristiani di lingkungan sekolah. Temuan ini mempertegas pentingnya pengintegrasian nilai-nilai lokal dalam praktik Pendidikan Agama Kristen sebagai bentuk kontekstualisasi iman dalam kehidupan nyata peserta didik. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the values of Christian Religious Education (CRE) based on the theory of Elmer George Homrighausen and its relevance to the local philosophy of Sekong Sirenden Sipomandi, which has developed within the Rongkong community culture in North Luwu Regency. Christian values such as love, honesty, patience, and responsibility are central to character formation in students, and in this context are integrated with local values that emphasize solidarity, togetherness, and social cooperation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with an ethno-educational model, where data was obtained through literature study, interviews, observations, and documentation at SMA Negeri 14 North Luwu. The results show that the Sekong Sirenden Sipomandi philosophy has a strong connection with the principles of Christian faith as formulated by Homrighausen, particularly in the spiritual, moral, social, and personal dimensions. This philosophy not only reflects local cultural values but can also serve as an effective medium for faith-based character education within the school environment. These findings affirm the importance of integrating local values into the practice of Christian Religious Education as a form of contextualizing faith in the real lives of students.
