Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan strategi reward and punishment dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama kristen untuk mengatasi perilaku maladaptive siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Bambang. Kabupaten Mamasa, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAK telah menerapkan reward dalam bentuk pujian, hadiah alat tulis, dan penghargaan verbal untuk mendorong perilaku positif siswa, sementara punishment diberikan dalam bentu khafalan ayat Alkitab, tugas tambahan, dan teguran sebagai bentuk koreksi terhadap perilaku yang tidak sesuai. Strategi ini diterapkan secara konsisten adil dan dengan pendekatan kasih, sehingga mampu membantu siswa untuk lebih disiplin, bertanggung jawab, serta menunjukkan sikap hormat kepada guru dan sesama. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa strategi reward and punishment efektif dalam membentuk karakter siswa serta mengurangi perilaku maladaptive. Kata kunci: reward, punishment, perilaku maladaptive, ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the application of reward and punishment strategies in Christian religious educations (Christian Religious Educations) to address maladaptive behavior in seventh-grade students at SMPN 1 Bambang. Mamasa Regency. The approach used was descriptive qualitative, with data colleciton techniques through interviews and observation. The results showed that Christian Religious Education teachers implemented rewards in the from of praise, stationery, and verbal recognition to encourage positive student behavior. Punishment were given in the from of bible verse memprization, edditional assignments, and reprimends as a from of correction for inappropriate behavior. This strategy was implementeds consistently, fairly, and with a loving approach, thus helping students to be more disciplined, responsible, and show respect for teachers and others. The conclusion of this study is that reward and punishment strategies are effective in shaping student charachter and reuducing maladaptive behavior.
