Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kecemasan yang dialami karyawan yang masih bertahan setelah pengurangan karyawan dengan menggunakan teori Sigmund Freud, khususnya konsep struktur kepribadian (id, ego, superego), mekanisme pertahanan ego, serta tahapan perkembangan psikoseksual (oral, anal, falik, laten, dan genital) yang mempengaruhi cara karyawan menghadapi tekanan psikologis. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi non-partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi, dengan validasi data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Bapak EN (Operator Baching Plant) dan Bapak GS (K3) yang masih bertahan bekerja di PT Malea Energy Hydropower. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menghadapi kecemasan akibat pemutusan hubungan kerja, kedua informan memperlihatkan interaksi dinamis antara aspek id, ego, dan superego. Mekanisme pertahanan ego yang dominan muncul antara lain represi, proyeksi, denial, rasionalisasi, displacement, sublimasi, regresi, dan reaction formation, yang bekerja secara tidak disadari sebagai bentuk perlindungan diri. Kata Kunci: Kecemasan, Pengurangan Karyawan, Psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to analyze the anxiety experienced by remaining employees after downsizing using Sigmund Freud's theory, particularly the concepts of personality structure (id, ego, superego), ego defense mechanisms, and the stages of psychosexual development (oral, anal, phallic, latency, and genital) which influence how employees respond to psychological stress. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and document studies, with data validity ensured by source triangulation. The informants in this study were Bapak EN (Baching Plant Operator) and Bapak GS (K3) who remained employed at PT Malea Energy Hydropower. The results of the study show that in dealing with anxiety caused by termination of employment, both informants exhibited a dynamic interaction between the aspects of the id, ego, and superego. The dominant ego defense mechanisms that emerged included repression, projection, denial, rationalization, displacement, sublimation, regression, and reaction formation, all operating unconsciously as forms of self-protection.
