Abstract

SUSANTI PANARAMPOAN, 2020196688, “ Analisis Simbol Kain Kaseda Perspektif Ernst Cassirer Relevansinya Bagi Upaya Berteologi Di Lembang Salu Tapokko’ “ Dengan asuhan dosen pembimbing 1 : Dr. frans Paillin Rumbi, M.Th., pembimbing II: Masnawati, M.Pd. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu bertujuan untuk bagaimana menganalisis simbol kain kaseda dalam upacara rambu solo’ berdasarkan teori Ernst Cassirer di Lembang Salu Tapokko’. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif. Dalam kalangan kebudayaan Toraja dalam ritus upacara rambu solo’ ada beberapa simbol yang dipakai masyarakat salah satunya iyalah simbol kain kaseda pada upacara rambu solo’. kain kaseda merupakan simbol penting dalam kebudayaan Toraja dalam konteks aluk rambu solo’, yang nunjuk pada penghormatan terhadap leluhur dan indentitas sosial pemiliknya. Dalam pandangan Ernst Cassiren kain kaseda dapat dianggap sebagian dari sistem simbol masyarakat Toraja, dimana melampaui nilai material dan menjadi medium untuk menyampaikan nilai-nilai spiritual, narasi leluhur, dan hubungan antaraindividu dalam komonikasi. The aim of this research is to analyze the symbols of the kaseda cloth in the Rambu Solo ceremony based on Ernst Cassirer's theory in Lembang Salu Tapokko. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method. In Toraja cultural circles, in the rites of the Rambu Solo' ceremony, there are several symbols used by the community, one of which is the kaseda cloth symbol at the Rambu Solo' ceremony. Kaseda cloth is an important symbol in Toraja culture in the context of aluk rambu solo', which shows respect for the ancestors and the social identity of the owner. In Ernst Cassiren's view, kaseda cloth can be considered part of the symbol system of Toraja society, which transcends material values and becomes a medium for conveying spiritual values, ancestral narratives, and relationships between individuals in communication.
