Abstract
Kata kunci: kompetensi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kompetensi guru, prestasi siswa Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap prestasi siswa, pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap prestasi siswa, dan pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kompetensi guru secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi siswa SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale Kabupaten Tana Toraja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian survei. Responden adalah siswa Kelas XI SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale sebanyak 34 orang sampel dengan menggunakan metode proporsional random sampling. Tipe penelitian ini adalah penelitian penjelasan (explanatory reseach), karena penelitian ini bermaksud menjelaskan pengaruh antara variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan variabel kompetensi guru terhadap variabel prestasi siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuisioner dan dokumen sekolah. Analisis data menggunakan analisa regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, 1). Kompetensi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi siswa SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale, dan Kompetensi guru berpengaruh terhadap prestasi siswa SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale, 2). Kompetensi guru lebih dominan berpengaruh terhadap prestasi siswa SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale daripada Kompetensi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Berdasarkan analisis determinan menunjukkan variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kompetensi guru mampu menjelaskan variabel prestasi siswa SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale sebesar 0,451%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel kompetensi guru lebih dominan mempengaruhi prestasi siswa daripada variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa variabel kompetensi guru sebesar 4.207, sedangkan Kompetensi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah sebesar 0,519. Keywords: the school principal leadership, the teacher competence, the students’ achievement The aim of the research is to find out the influence of the school competence principal leadership on the students’ achievement, the influence of the teacher competence on the students’ achievement, and the influence of the school principal leadership along with theteacher competence simultaneously on the students’ achievement of SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale. The research method applied in this research is the survey research method. The respondents for this research are namely the students of Grade XI SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale as many as 34 students by using the proportional random sampling method, The type of the research is likely the explanatory research since this research is meant to explain the influence between the school principal leadership variable and the teacher competence variable on the students’ achievement variable. The data collection is performed by using the questionnaire and the school documents. The data analysis is performed by using the double regression analysis. The outcome of the research shows that, 1). The school competence principal leadership has a positive influence on the students’ achievement of SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale , 2). The teacher competence has a positive influence on the students’ achievement of SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale, 3). The school competence principal leadership along with the teacher competence simultaneously have a positive influence on the students’ achievement of SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale. Based upon the determinant analysis, it shows that the school principal leadership variable and the teacher competence variable are able to explain the students’ achievement variable of SMK Kristen Pelangi Makale much as 0,451 %. The outcome of the research shows that the teacher competence influences more dominantly on the students’, achievement than the school principal leadership. It can be proved from the result of the t test shows that the teacher competence variable is as much as 4.207, while the school principal leadership variable is as much as 0,519.
