Abstract

Potensi anak dapat dikembangkan dengan Appreciative lnquiry dimana metode ini menggunakan pendekatan untuk meningkatkan kualitas seseorang dengan terfokus pada kekuatan-kekuatan positif yang dimiliki, namun belum semua orang tua menerapkan metode ini. Adapun tujuan diadakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis peran Appreciative lnquiry dalam pengembangan potensi anak usia 6-12 tahun di GPdl Tanamalia. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penggunaan Appreciative Inquiry dalam pengembangan potensi anak 6-12 tahun di GPdl Tanamalia dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan empat tahapan yang disebut siklus 4D, yaitu Discovery, Drearn, Design dan Destiny. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan penggalian potensi anak, mewujudkan impian melalui motivasi, membuat design pengembangan potensi, membangun destiny. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Appreciative Inquiry belum diperankan secara maksimal dalam pengembangan potensi anak usia 6-12 tahun di GPdl Tanamalia. Kata kunci: Appreciative Inquiry, potensi anak, usia 6-12 tahun. ABSTRACT Children's potential can be developed with Appreciative Inquiry where this method uses an approach to improve one's quality by focusing on the positive strengths they have, but not all parents apply this method. This research aims to analyze the role of Appreciative Inquiry in developing the potential of children aged 6-12 years at GPdl Tanamalia. The method used in this research was qualitative descriptive. The use of Appreciative Inquiry in developing the potential of children 6-12 years old at GPdl Tanamalia were analyzed by using four stages called the 4D cycle, namely Discovery, Drearn, Design and Destiny. Based on the analysis, it was found that exploring children's potential, realizing dreams through motivation, designing potential development, and building destiny. It can be concluded that Appreciative Inquiry has not been played optimally in developing the potential of children aged 6-12 years at GPdl Tanamalia.
