Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi mengajar yang diterapkan oleh guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) dalam menghadapi tantangan moral di era kontemporer pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN Satap 5 Gandasil. Tantangan moral yang dihadapi generasi muda saat ini, seperti degradasi nilai-nilai spiritual, perilaku sosial berisiko, dan pengaruh media digital, menuntut peran aktif guru PAK dalam memberikan pembelajaran yang relevan dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAK mengimplementasikan berbagai strategi, seperti pendekatan kontekstual, integrasi nilai-nilai moral ke dalam kurikulum, serta penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Selain itu, keterlibatan siswa dalam diskusi kelompok dan kegiatan pemecahan masalah terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moral. Namun, beberapa kendala ditemukan, seperti keterbatasan fasilitas, kurangnya pelatihan guru, dan rendahnya kesadaran siswa terhadap pentingnya nilai-nilai moral. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan pelatihan guru, peningkatan fasilitas pendukung, dan kolaborasi antara sekolah, orang tua, dan gereja dalam membangun karakter siswa. Dengan strategi yang tepat, guru PAK diharapkan dapat menjadi agen transformasi moral yang berkontribusi pada pembentukan generasi muda yang bermoral dan berintegritas di era kontempore Kata Kunci: strategi mengajar, Pendidikan Agama Kristen, tantangan moral, era kontemporer, nilai moral. Abstract This study aims to analyze the teaching strategies employed by Christian Religious Education (CRE) teachers in addressing moral challenges in the contemporary era, specifically for eighth-grade students at SMPN Satap 5 Gandasil. The moral challenges faced by today's youth, such as the erosion of spiritual values, risky social behaviors, and the influence of digital media, demand an active role from CRE teachers in delivering relevant and effective lessons. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings reveal that CRE teachers utilize various strategies, including contextual approaches, the integration of moral values into the curriculum, and the use of technology-based teaching aids. Additionally, involving students in group discussions and problem-solving activities has proven effective in instilling moral values. However, challenges such as limited facilities, lack of teacher training, and low student awareness of moral importance were identified. This study recommends enhancing teacher training, improving supporting facilities, and fostering collaboration among schools, parents, and churches to build students' character. With appropriate strategies, CRE teachers are expected to become agents of moral transformation, contributing to the formation of a moral and integrity-driven generation in the contemporary era.
