Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kompetensi kepribadian guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) dalam mengembangkan kedisiplinan peserta didik di SMPN Satap 5 Gandangbatu Sillanan. Pokok masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana keteladanan kepribadian guru berkontribusi pada pembentukan kedisiplinan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori kompetensi kepribadian guru yang mencakup integritas, kedisiplinan, dan kasih dalam konteks kedisiplinan pseseta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAK memiliki kompetensi kepribadian yang kuat, seperti keteladanan dalam disiplin waktu, keadilan dalam pemberian sanksi, serta kasih dalam membimbing siswa. Kompetensi ini mendorong siswa untuk meneladani sikap guru, meningkatkan tanggung jawab, dan menghargai kedisiplinan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepribadian guru PAK berperan signifikan dalam pengembangan kedisiplinan siswa melalui pendekatan yang bijaksana dan mendidik. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the personal competence of Christian Religious Education teachers in developing students' discipline at SMPN Satap 5 Gandangbatu Sillanan. The main problem addressed in this research is how the exemplary personality of teachers contributes to shaping students' discipline. The study applies the theory of teachers' personal competence, which encompasses integrity, discipline, and compassion within the context of character education. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings indicate that Christian Religious Education teachers possess strong personal competence, such as setting an example in time discipline, fairness in imposing sanctions, and compassion in guiding students. This competence encourages students to emulate the teachers' attitudes, enhances their sense of responsibility, and fosters an appreciation for discipline. The study concludes that the personal competence of teachers plays a significant role in developing student discipline through a wise and educational approach.
