Abstract

Penelitian ini, bertujuan untuk menemukan kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Kristen 1 Tagari Rantepao. Dalam penelitian ini terlihat bahwa dalam melaksanakan kegiatan belajar yang mendidik, perlunya menggunakan media pembelajaran, agar dapat berjalan dengan baik. Kemudian penelitian ini menggunakan teori dasar tentang kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara, yang diberikan kepada guru dan siswa dan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik yang dimiliki oleh guru di SMP Kristen 1 Tagari Rantepao ada tiga indikator yang masih kurang dari ke lima indikator kompetensi pedagogik guru antara lain, menguasai karakteristik peserta didik yang mencakup tentang membangun komunikasi yang baik namun, terdapat metode disiplin yang kurang seperti guru memukul kepala siswa dengan spidol; merancang pembalajaran mencakup tentang kreativitas guru namun, kurangnya penggunaan teknologi dan media pembelajaran; melaksanakan pembelajaran yang mencakup tentang kemampuan mengelola kelas dengan menciptakan suasana dan kondisi yang menyenangkan namun, masih kurang ketegasan dan masih kurang memberikan penghargaan terhadap siswa yang berpartisipasi. Kata Kunci: Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru, Keaktifan Belajar ABSTRACT This study aims to identify the pedagogical competencies of teachers in enhancing the learning engagement of eighth-grade students at SMP Kristen 1 Tagari Rantepao. In this research, it can be seen that in carrying out educational learning activities, it is necessary to use learning media, so that they can run well. Then this research uses basic theory regarding teacher pedagogical competence in increasing student learning activity. Data was collected through observations and interviews, which were given to teachers and students and used a qualitative approach. The results of the research show that there are three indicators of pedagogical competence possessed by teachers at SMP Kristen 1 Tagari Rantepao which are still lacking from the five indicators of teacher pedagogical competence, including mastering the characteristics of students which includes building good communication, however, there are disciplinary methods that are lacking. like a teacher hitting a student on the head with a marker; designing learning includes teacher creativity, however, there is a lack of use of technology and learning media; carrying out learning that includes the ability to manage the class by creating a pleasant atmosphere and conditions, however, there is still a lack of firmness and a lack of appreciation for students who participate.
