Abstract

ABSTRAK “SUDDEN DEATH: Penerapan Terapi Gestalt Terhadap Keluarga Yang Berduka Karena Kematian Tiba-Tiba” dilatarbelakangi oleh sebuah kasus kematian tiba-tiba yang menimpah anak dari salah satu keluarga yaitu Ibu Bintang (nama samaran), di mana setelah penguburun, ibu dari korban mengalami perubahan perilaku yang tidak seperti biasanya. Menyikapi masalah ini maka penulis melakukan pendampingan menggunakan metode konseling penerapan terapi Gestalt yang dipopulerkan oleh seorang ahli yang bernama Frederick S. Pearls berdasarkan teori yang dipaparkan. Dalam mengumpulkan data sekaitan dengan pendampingan tersebut maka penulis menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yaitu jenis penelitian yang interpretative research deskriptif yang menekankan pada pandangan, makna, penalaran dalam situasi dan konteks tertentu. Dengan pendekatan penelitian tindakan bimbingan konseling. Sehingga dari hasil pendampingan yang telah dilakukan, disimpulkan bahwa terapi Gestalt dapat digunakan secara efektif pada keluarga korban kematian tiba-tiba di Gereja Kibaid Jemaat Moso Klasis Mengkendek Utara. Kata kunci: Terapi Gestalt, pendampingan, berduka, kematian tiba-tiba. ABSTRACT SUDDEN DEATH the application of Gestalt therapy to families grieving due to sudden death. Was motivated by a case of sudden death that befell a child from one of the families, namely Mother Bintang (pseudonym), where after the burial the mother of the victim experinted change in behavior as usual. Addressing this problem, the authors provide assistance using the counseling method of applying Gestalt Therapy which was popularized by an expert named Frederick S Pearls based on the theory presented. In collecting data related to this assistance, the authors use a type of qualitative research, namely a type of research that is descriptive interpretative research that emphasizes views, meanings, reasoning in certain situations and contexts. With an action research approach to counseling guidance. So that from the results of the assistance that has been carried out it is concluded that Gestalt therapy can be used effectively for families of victims of suddent death at the kibaid church of the the northern moso klasis congregation.
