Abstract

Abstrak Pengalaman-pengalaman pada masa kecil tanpa disadari memiliki pengaruh yang sangat besar ketika seorang anak memasuki usia dewasa. Kebutuhan- kebutuhan yang tidak terpenuhi pada masa kecil akan dituntut pada usia dewasa. Tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan-kebutuhan pada masa kecil akan memenjarakan seorang anak dalam lingkaran inner child sepanjang masa pertumbuhannya sehingga tidak siap dalam menghadapi kondisi atau situasi hidup yang terjadi. Pendiam, self worth rendah, fatherless merupakan salah satu karakter yang tumbuh akibat inner child. Pendekatan psikodinamik yang memandang bahwa konflik yang terjadi berasal dari alam bawah sadar akan membawa individu untuk memahami serta menemukan cara dalam memecahkan konflik tersebut. Individu akan menyadari tingkah laku bermasalah melalui penerapan teknik-teknik dalam pendekatan psikodinamik. Selain itu, terapi inner child sendiri akan membantu untuk berdamai dengan anak batin yang ada dalam diri individu. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah menjelaskan efektivitas pendekatan psikodinamik dalam kasus inner child terhadap perkembangan karakter pemuda di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Tampo melalui metode penelitian tindakan bimbingan konseling. Melalui data yang diperoleh dan dengan penerapan pendekatan psikodinamik dalam penelitian ini, maka ditemukan bahwa pemuda yang pendiam, fatherless adalah pemuda yang tumbuh dalam lingkaran inner child. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Psikodinamik, Karakter, Inner child Abstract Experiences in childhood unwittingly have a very big influence when a child enters adulthood. Those needs that were not met in childhood will be demanded in adulthood. The non-fulfillment of childhood needs will imprison a child in the inner child circle throughout his growth period so that he is unprepared to face the conditions or life situations that occur. Quiet, self worth low, fatherless is one of the characters who grew up as a result of the inner child. A psychodynamic approach that views that the conflict that occurs comes from the subconscious will lead the individual to understand and find ways in solving the conflict. The individual will be aware of problematic behavior through the application of techniques in a psychodynamic approach. In addition, the therapy of the inner child itself will help to make peace with the inner child that exists in the individual. The purpose of this study is to explain the effectiveness of the psychodynamic approach in the case of inner children to the development of youth character in the Toraja Church of Tampo Congregation through the research method of counseling guidance actions. Through the data obtained and with the application of psychodynamic approaches in this study, it was found that a quiet, fatherless youth is a young man who grows up in an inner child circle.
