Abstract

ABSTRAK NELSA NATASHA TOMBANG 1020207957 menulis skripsi dengan judul “Strategi Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam Membentuk Kecerdasan Emosional Siswa Kelas VII-B di SMPN 2 Sa’dan” dibimbing oleh Christian E. Randalele, M.Pd.K,. dan Stephani Intan M. Siallagan, M.Pd. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam membentuk kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas VII-B di SMPN 2 Sa’dan, dengan menggunakan teori Daniel Goleman. Pada penelitian ini metode yang dimanfaatkan yaitu kualitatif didukung pendekatan studi lapangan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu lewat wawancara, observasi serta dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan jika guru Pendidikan agama Kristen memanfaatkan beragam strategi dalam membentuk kecerdasan emosional siswa, yaitu mengelola emosi, mengembangkan kesadaran diri, meningkatkan motivasi, mengembangkan empati, dan membangun keterampilan sosial. Maka disimpulkan Dalam penelitian ini, peran dari guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen begitu penting pada pembentukan kecerdasan emosional siswa. Kata kunci: Strategi Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen, Kecerdasan Emosional. ABSTRACT NELSA NATASHA TOMBANG 1020207957 wrote a thesis entitled "Strategy of Christian Religious Education Teachers in Forming the Emotional Intelligence of Class VII-B Students at SMPN 2 Sa'dan" supervised by Christian E. Randalele, M.Pd.K,. and Stephani Intan M. Siallagan, M.Pd. This research aims to analyze the strategies of Christian Religious Education teachers in forming the emotional intelligence of class VII-B students at SMPN 2 Sa’dan, using Daniel Goleman’s theory. In this research, the method used was qualitative, supported by a field study approach. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. From the research results, it was concluded that Christian religious education teachers utilized various strategies in forming students’ emotional intelligence, namely managing emotions, developing self-awareness, increasing motivation, developing empathy, and building social skills. So it is concluded in this research, the role of Christian Religious Education teachers is very important in the formation of students’ emotional intelligence.
