Abstract
ABSTRAK Pengaruh globalisasi memberikan dampak besar terhadap terjadinya dekadensi moral. Dekadensi moral siswa perlu diatasi dengan melakukan berbagai pendekatan oleh guru, khususnya guru bimbingan dan konseling. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan penyebab terjadinya dekadensi moral siswa kelas IX di UPT SMPN Satap 3 Simbuang dan menguraikan peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam mengatasi dekadensi moral siswa Kelas IX di UPT SMPN Satap 3 Simbuang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dengan 2 orang guru bimbingan dan konseling sebagai informan. Adapun hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah terjadinya dekadensi moral siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal seperti bersikap masa bodoh, kurang berpikir kreatif dan konsep diri yang salah pada siswa dan eksternal, seperti kemajuan teknologi komunikasi, kemajuan budaya dari luar, ekonomi keluarga dan kedudukan anak dalam keluarga. Peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam mengatasi dekadensi moral dilakukan melalui tindakan mendiagnosis masalah yang dihadapi siswa, memperlihatkan sikap yang baik sebagai bagi siswa, memberikan rasa aman, memberikan motivasi bagi siswa dan melakukan kegiatan bersama masyarakat. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi positif bagi guru dalam mengatasi dekadensi moral siswa dan terus membangun kerja sama dengan orangtua sehingga siswa memiliki moral yang baik. Kata kunci: Peran Guru, Dekadensi Moral Siswa ABSTRACT The influence of globalization has had a major impact on the occurrence of moral decadence. Students' moral decadence needs to be overcome by taking various approaches by teachers, especially guidance and counseling teachers. This research aims to explain the causes of moral decadence in class IX students at UPT SMPN Satap 3 Simbuang and outline the role of guidance and counseling teachers in overcoming the moral decadence of Class IX students at UPT SMPN Satap 3 Simbuang. This research uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation with 2 guidance and counseling teachers as informants. The results of the research obtained are that the occurrence of moral decadence in students is influenced by internal factors such as being ignorant, lack of creative thinking and wrong self-concepts in students and externally, such as advances in communication technology, cultural advances from outside, the family economy and the position of children in the family. The role of guidance and counseling teachers in overcoming moral decadence is carried out through diagnosing problems faced by students, showing a good attitude towards students, providing a sense of security, providing motivation for students and carrying out activities with the community. It is hoped that this research will make a positive contribution to teachers in overcoming students' moral decadence and continuing to build cooperation with parents so that students have good morals.
