Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pelayanan pastoral di GTM Jemaat Ebenhaezer Sodangan yang masih dilakukan secara umum melalui nasihat, doa, dan pendekatan rohani, sementara kearifan lokal Massalu pada masyarakat Pitu Ulunna Salu belum dimanfaatkan maksimal dalam mendampingi pemulihan hidup warga jemaat. Massalu memuat nilai refleksi diri, pengakuan kesalahan, pertobatan, tanggung jawab, penyelesaian masalah komunal, dan pemulihan relasi, namun sebagian pemahamannya masih bersifat kosmologis-retributif sehingga perlu diseleksi dan ditransformasikan secara teologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkonstruksi model pastoral kontekstual berbasis Massalu yang berdialog dengan fungsi pastoral Kristen, menggunakan teori pastoral Howard Clinebell dan teologi praktis Richard Osmer, melalui metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan praktis-kontekstual serta teknik wawancara, observasi konteks, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Massalu dapat menjadi sumber inspirasi utama pastoral kontekstual apabila unsur-unsurnya diseleksi kritis dan ditransformasikan teologis. Nilai pengakuan, tanggung jawab, rekonsiliasi, dan pemulihan komunitas dapat diintegrasikan ke pelayanan gereja, sedangkan penafsiran kosmologis-retributif yang mengaitkan bencana dengan hukuman ilahi ditolak. Hasil konstruksi tersebut dirumuskan menjadi Model Pastoral Kontekstual Massalu yang terdiri atas tujuh tahapan: asesmen pastoral, refleksi diri, penguraian akar masalah, pengakuan dan pertobatan dalam ruang konseling rahasia, rekonsiliasi interpersonal, rekonsiliasi komunal terbatas, dan pendampingan lanjutan. Model ini bersifat Kristosentris, berbasis kasih karunia, tidak menghakimi, kontekstual, dan transformatif bagi pemulihan hidup jemaat. ABSTRACT This study examines pastoral care in the GTM Ebenhaezer Sodangan congregation, which is generally still conducted through counseling, prayer, and spiritual approaches. Meanwhile, the local wisdom of Massalu in the Pitu Ulunna Salu community has not been optimally utilized to support the congregation's recovery. Massalu encompasses the values of self-reflection, confession, healing, responsibility, communal problem-solving, and relationship restoration. However, some of its understandings remain retributive cosmological and therefore require theological selection and transformation. This study aims to develop a contextual pastoral model based on Massalu that dialogues with Christian pastoral functions, utilizing Howard Clinebell's pastoral theory and Richard Osmer's practical theology. This study employed qualitative methods with a practical-contextual approach, including interviews, contextual observation, and documentation. The results indicate that Massalu can be a primary source of inspiration for contextual pastoral care if its elements are critically selected and theologically transformed. The values of confession, responsibility, reconciliation, and community restoration can be integrated into church ministry, while cosmological-retributive interpretations that are detrimental to divine command are rejected. The resulting construct is formulated into the Massalu Contextual Pastoral Model, which consists of seven stages: pastoral assessment, self-reflection, root cause analysis, confession and repentance in a confidential counseling environment, interpersonal reconciliation, limited communal reconciliation, and ongoing accompaniment. This model is Christ-centered, grace-based, non-judgmental, contextual, and transformative for the restoration of congregational life.
