Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas peran pendeta dalam komunikasi pastoral terhadap ketidakharmonisan suami istri di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Bonoran. Pokok masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana peran pendeta melalui komunikasi pastoral dalam membantu mengatasi konflik dan membangun kembali keharmonisan rumah tangga jemaat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pendeta serta bentuk komunikasi pastoral yang diterapkan dalam pendampingan pasangan suami istri. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori komunikasi pastoral yang menekankan fungsi pendampingan, pembimbingan, penyembuhan, dan pendamaian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendeta berperan sebagai konselor, mediator, dan pembimbing rohani yang membantu pasangan suami istri memperbaiki komunikasi, menyelesaikan konflik secara bijaksana, serta memperkuat kehidupan iman sehingga tercipta hubungan keluarga yang lebih harmonis. ABSTRACT This study examines the role of pastors in pastoral communication in addressing marital disharmony among married couples at the Toraja Church, Bonoran Congregation. The main problem of this research is how pastors, through pastoral communication, help resolve conflicts and restore harmony within families. The objective of this study is to analyze the role of pastors and the forms of pastoral communication applied in assisting married couples. The study is based on the theory of pastoral communication, which emphasizes the functions of guidance, counseling, healing, and reconciliation. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that pastors serve as counselors, mediators, and spiritual guides who assist married couples in improving communication, resolving conflicts wisely, and strengthening their faith, thereby fostering more harmonious family relationships.
