Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan strategi aktivasi Generasi Z dalam kehidupan bergereja bagi PPGT Jemaat Randanan berdasarkan perspektif subjective life menurut Paul Heelas dan Linda Woodhead. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif analitis dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap 14 informan. Teori subjective life menjelaskan pergeseran orientasi beragama dari ketaatan pada institusi menuju penghayatan iman yang berpusat pada pengalaman batin pribadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketidakaktifan Generasi Z bukan disebabkan oleh hilangnya iman, melainkan oleh pergeseran spiritualitas yang semakin personal dan subjektif. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi ketidakaktifan mereka meliputi eksklusivisme lingkaran pertemanan, dominasi teknologi digital, format ibadah yang kurang kontekstual, serta minimnya motivasi diri dan dukungan lingkungan. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dirumuskan tiga strategi: pendekatan pengalaman iman personal, partisipasi aktif dan ruang ekspresi diri, serta relevansi iman dengan kehidupan nyata. Ketiga strategi ini membentuk model pelayanan hybrid yang mengintegrasikan spiritualitas personal dengan spiritualitas komunal gereja. Kata Kunci: Bergereja, Generasi Z, Subjective Life ABSTRACT This study aims to formulate a strategy for the activation of Generation Z in church life for PPGT Randanan Congregation based on the perspective of subjective life according to Paul Heelas and Linda Woodhead. The method used is a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study involving 14 informants. The theory of subjective life explains the shift in religious orientation from obedience to institutions toward a lived faith centered on personal inner experience. This study findings indicate that the inactivity of Generation Z is not caused by a loss of faith, but rather by a shift toward a more personal and subjective form of spirituality. The factors influencing their inactivity include the exclusivity of peer friendship circles, the dominance of digital technology, worship formats that lack contextual relevance, as well as a lack of self-motivation and environmental support. Based on these findings, three strategies were formulated: an approach centered on personal faith experience, active participation and space for self-expression, and the relevance of faith to real life. These three strategies form a hybrid ministry model that integrates personal spirituality with the communal spirituality of the church. Keywords: Churchgoing, Generation Z, Subjectove Life.
