Abstract

Nuning Agustin (2020218702) menyusun skripsi ini dengan judul: “Suatu Tinjauan Teologis Tentang Persepsi Warga Gereja Toraja Jemaat Imanuel To’bena’ Terhadap Perjamuan Kudus Bersama Anak”. Dibimbing oleh Dr. Semuel Tokam, M.Th (Pembimbing 1) dan Ones Kristiani Rapa’, M.Si (Pembimbing II). Pada penulisan ini bertitik tolak dari keadaan yang terjadi dalam kehidupan Jemaat Imanuel To’bena’. Dimana di Jemaat Imanuel To’bena’ belum melaksakan Perjamuan Kudus bersama dengan anak. Hal inilah yang menjadi fokus penelitian dalam penulisan ini, bahwa bagaimana persepsi warga Gereja Toraja Jemaat Imanuel To’bena’ terhadap Perjamuan Kudus bersama anak. Untuk mengetahui persepsi warga Gereja Toraja Jemaat Imanuel To’bena’ mengenai hal tersebut, maka Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, pengamatan atau obsevasi, dokumentasi, serta studi pustaka. Setelah penulis melakukan kajian, maka persepsi warga Gereja Toraja Jemaat Imanuel To’bena’ tentang Perjamuan Kudus bersama anak ialah bahwa sebagian informan pada dasarnya menerima bahwa anak yang telah dibaptis bisa dilibatkan dalam Perjamuan Kudus berdasarkan keputusan Sidang Sinode. Namun, pelaksanaan Perjamuan Kudus bersama anak di Jemaat Imanuel To’bena’ belum terlaksana secara nyata. Selain itu adapun pandangan bahwa anak-anak belum memiliki kemampuan yang cukup untuk memahami makna Perjamuan Kudus sehingga belum layak untuk terlibat di dalamnya serta masih kuatnya pengaruh pemahaman dan tradisi lama yang keikutsertaan dalam Perjamuan Kudus dengan status sudah di sidi. Kata Kunci: Perjamuan Kudus, Anak-anak, Gereja Toraja ABSTRACT Nuning Agustin (2020218702) compiled this thesis with the title: “A Theological Review of the Perceptions of the Members of the Toraja Church of the Imanuel To’bena’ Congregation Regarding Holy Communion with Children”. Supervised by Dr. Semuel Tokam. M.Th (Supervisor 1) and Ones Kristiani Rapa’, M.Si (Supervisor 2). This paper begins with the situation in the life of the Imanuel To’bena’ Congregation. The Imanuel To’bena’ Congregation has not yet celebrated Holy Communion with children. This is the focus of this research, namely, how the members of the Toraja Church of the Imanuel To’bena’ Congregation perceive Holy Communion with children. To determine the perceptions of the members of the Toraja Church of the Imanuel To’bena’ Congregation regarding this matter, this study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained from interviews, observations, documentation, and literature studies. After conducting a study, the perception of the Toraja Church community of the Imanuel To’bena’ Congregation regarding Holy Communion with children is that some informants basically accept that baptized children can be involved in holy Communion based on the decision of the synod session. However, the implementation of Holy Communion with children in the Imanuel To’bena’ Congregation has not been implemented in practice. In addition, there is a view that children do not yet have sufficient ability to understand the meaning of Holy Communion so they are not yet worthy of being involved in it. There is still a strong influence of old understandings and traditions that participation in Holy Communion with the status of being already in the synod is still strong.
