Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat kehadiran kaum bapak dalam ibadah PKBGT di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Rantekasimpo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan peran pendeta sebagai motivator bagi kaum bapak dalam meningkatkan keaktifan ibadah PKBGT. Teori dasar yang digunakan adalah teori peran pendeta menurut Samuel Tandiassa dan teori kebutuhan Abraham Maslow. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara serta analisis data model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendeta telah menjalankan peran motivator melalui enam bentuk, yaitu pelayanan pastoral, pengawasan, nasihat, pembelaan, pembimbingan rohani, dan pengajaran, dengan perkunjungan sebagai bentuk paling efektif. Namun keaktifan kaum bapak masih terhambat oleh kesibukan pekerjaan, kondisi ekonomi, kurangnya kesadaran diri akan pentingnya ibadah, serta rendahnya motivasi pribadi dan sikap kurang berminat. Oleh karena itu diperlukan kerja sama antara pendeta, majelis gereja, pengurus PKBGT, dan kaum bapak untuk meningkatkan komitmen beribadah sehinggah kehidupan rohani, persekutuan, dan partisipasi jemaat semakin bertumbuh. Kata Kunci: Pendeta, Motivator, Kaum Bapak, Keaktifan Ibadah, PKBGT ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low attendance rate of fathers in PKBGT worship services at Gereja Toraja Jemaat Rantekasimpo.. This study aims to describe the role of the pastor as a motivator for fathers in increasing their active participation in PKBGT worship. The basic theories used are Samuel Tandiassa's theory of pastoral roles and Abraham Maslow's theory of needs. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation and interviews, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results show that the pastor has carried out the motivator role through six forms, namely pastoral care, supervision, counseling, advocacy, spiritual guidance, and teaching, with home visits being the most effective form. However, the active participation of fathers is still influenced by work commitments, economic conditions, limited awareness of the importance of worship, and low personal motivation. Therefore, continuous cooperation among the pastor, church elders, PKBGT administrators, and male members is needed to strengthen commitment to worship, foster sritual growth, and encourage active participation in PKBGT worship services.
