Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelayanan pastoral bagi anak korban kekerasan seksual di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Efata Pakareme dengan menggunakan teori pemulihan trauma Judith Herman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara tidak terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan pendeta, penatua, diaken, dan anggota jemaat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan pastoral yang diberikan gereja selama ini masih terbatas pada kunjungan rumah dan doa bersama, tanpa program khusus yang terstruktur sesuai kebutuhan anak korban. Bila ditinjau melalui tiga tahap pemulihan Judith Herman Safety, Remembrance and Mourning, dan Reconnection gereja baru sebatas memenuhi tahap Safety secara fisik, sementara tahap Remembrance and Mourning dan Reconnection belum terlaksana secara memadai. Hambatan utama meliputi kehadiran pendeta yang tidak rutin, belum adanya pelayan yang terlatih dalam mendampingi korban trauma, serta sikap tabu yang masih membatasi keterbukaan jemaat terhadap isu kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa gereja perlu mengembangkan model pelayanan pastoral yang lebih terstruktur, berkelanjutan, dan berpijak pada pemulihan trauma secara holistik bagi anak korban. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze pastoral care for child victims of sexual violence at Gereja Toraja Jemaat Efata Pakareme using Judith Herman's trauma recovery theory. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through unstructured interviews, observation, and documentation involving the church pastor, elders, deacons, and congregation members. Findings reveal that pastoral care provided by the church has been limited to home visits and communal prayer, without a specialized or structured program tailored to the needs of child victims. When analyzed through Judith Herman's three stages of recovery Safety, Remembrance and Mourning, and Reconnection the church has only partially fulfilled the Safety stage through physical presence, while the Remembrance and Mourning and Reconnection stages have not been meaningfully addressed. Key obstacles include infrequent pastoral presence, the absence of trained caregivers for trauma survivors, and a cultural taboo surrounding open discussion of sexual violence. The study concludes that the church needs to develop a more structured, consistent, and trauma-informed pastoral model to support the holistic recovery of child victims.
