Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tradisi Kamburo sebagai bentuk pastoral kontekstual dalam mendukung pemulihan orang berduka akibat kematian di Kecamatan Nosu. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan tokoh adat, tokoh agama, dan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi Kamburo diwujudkan melalui kehadiran masyarakat, ungkapan belasungkawa, serta dukungan sosial dan emosional kepada keluarga yang berduka. Tradisi ini mengandung nilai empati, solidaritas, kebersamaan, dan relasi interpersonal yang membantu proses pemulihan kedukaan. Nilai-nilai tersebut sejalan dengan fungsi pendampingan pastoral, khususnya menopang, menyembuhkan, dan memelihara. Dengan demikian, tradisi Kamburo dapat dipahami sebagai bentuk pastoral kontekstual yang berkontribusi terhadap pemulihan spiritual, psikologis, dan sosial orang yang berduka. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the Kamburo tradition as a form of contextual pastoral care in supporting the recovery of bereaved individuals following death in Nosu District. The research employs a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation involving traditional leaders, religious leaders, and the community. The results show that the Kamburo tradition is manifested through community presence, expressions of condolence, and social and emotional support for grieving families. This tradition embodies values of empathy, solidarity, togetherness, and interpersonal relationships that assist the grief recovery process. These values align with the functions of pastoral care, particularly sustaining, healing, and guiding. Thus, the Kamburo tradition can be understood as a form of contextual pastoral care that contributes to the spiritual, psychological, and social recovery of bereaved individuals.
