Abstract

Salah satu nilai penting dalam iman Kristen adalah nilai hospitalitas, yang ditunjukkan dengan sikap menerima, menyambut, dan membuka diri terhadap sesama. Ini adalah dasar dari penelitian ini. Praktik hospitalitas sering kali menghadapi berbagai masalah dalam pelayanan gereja. Masalah tersebut termasuk perbedaan pendapat, pembentukan kelompok, dan kurangnya transparansi dalam hubungan antar pelayan gereja. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memeriksa makna hospitalitas yang ditemukan dalam Kisah Para Rasul 18:1–4 dengan menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutik naratif Paul Ricoeur, serta menjelaskan bagaimana hal itu berdampak pada Majelis Gereja Toraja Jemaat Batang. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui metode studi pustaka menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutik naratif Paul Ricoeur dan penelitian lapangan kepada beberapa informan. Kisah Para Rasul 18:1-4 memperlihatkan hospitalitas yang lahir dari pengalaman sebagai orang asing dan diwujudkan melalui penerimaan, solidaritas, serta kolaborasi dalam pelayanan. Nilai-nilai hospitalitas yang tercermin dalam relasi Paulus, Akwila, dan Priskila memberikan dampak berupa arah praksis bagi Majelis Gereja Toraja Jemaat Batang untuk memperlihatkan kasih Kristus dalam kehidupan bergereja dan bermasyarakat. ABSTRACT One of the important values in the Christian faith is the value of hospitality, which is demonstrated by an attitude of acceptance, welcoming, and openness to others. This is the basis of this research. The practice of hospitality often faces various problems in church ministry. These include differences of opinion, the formation of groups, and a lack of transparency in relationships between church ministers. Therefore, this study aims to examine the meaning of hospitality found in Acts 18:1–4 using Paul Ricoeur's narrative hermeneutic approach, and explain how it impacts the Toraja Church Assembly of the Batang Congregation. Using qualitative research methods, data were collected through a literature study using Paul Ricoeur's narrative hermeneutic approach and field research with several informants. Acts 18:1–4 shows hospitality born from the experience of being a stranger and manifested through acceptance, solidarity, and collaboration in ministry. The values of hospitality reflected in the relationship between Paul, Aquila, and Priscilla have an impact in the form of practical direction for the Toraja Church Assembly of the Batang Congregation to demonstrate the love of Christ in church and community life.
