Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji kesetiaan Rut melalui pendekatan teologi feminis, dengan tujuan menggali nilai-nilai spiritual dan sosial yang terkandung dalam kisah Rut serta mengaitkannya dengan konteks Persekutuan Wanita Gereja Toraja (PWGT) Jemaat Bukit Nebo Tibongso’. Penelitian ini berangkat dari permasalahan kurangnya partisipasi aktif sebagian anggota PWGT dalam pelayanan gereja. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif interpretatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, observasi, dan wawancara. Teori utama yang digunakan berasal dari pemikiran tokoh teologi feminis yaitu Rosemary Radford Ruether. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesetiaan Rut mencerminkan keberanian perempuan dalam mengambil keputusan iman, solidaritas antarperempuan, serta tindakan kasih yang membebaskan. Kesetiaan Rut sebagai perempuan tampak dalam pilihannya yang bebas dan penuh tanggung jawab, lahir dari iman yang mendalam kepada Allah, membawa perubahan besar dalam hidupnya dan orang lain, serta menjadikannya sebagai teladan nyata bagi perempuan Kristen masa kini. Di PWGT Jemaat Bukit Nebo Tibongso’, nilai-nilai ini tercermin dalam bentuk-bentuk pelayanan yang setia, meskipun dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa teladan Rut dapat menjadi inspirasi spiritual dan praktis bagi perempuan Kristen masa kini, khususnya dalam konteks PWGT Jemaat Bukit Nebo Tibongso’ untuk terus berperan aktif dan setia dalam kehidupan gereja dan masyarakat. ABSTRACT This research examines the loyalty Ruth through a feminist theology approach, with the aim of uncovering the spiritual and social values contained in the story of Ruth and linking them to the context of the Toraja Church Women's Fellowship (PWGT) of the Bukit Nebo Tibongso Congregation. This study arises from the issue of the lack of active participation of some PWGT members in church service. The method used is qualitative interpretative with data collection techniques through literature study, observation, and interviews. The main theory used comes from the thoughts of the feminist theologian Rosemary Radford Ruether. The research results show that Ruth's loyalty reflects women's courage in making faith-based decisions, solidarity among women, and liberating acts of love. Ruth's loyalty as a woman is evident in her choices that are free and full of responsibility, born from a deep faith in God, bringing significant changes in her life and the lives of others, and making her a true role model for Christian women today. In the PWGT Bukit Nebo Tibongso’ congregation, these values are reflected in forms of faithful service, despite facing various challenges. This research concludes that the example of Ruth can serve as a spiritual and practical inspiration for contemporary Christian women, particularly in the context of the PWGT Bukit Nebo Tibongso’ Congregation, to continue playing an active and faithful role in the life of the church and society.
