Abstract

Pekerjaan sebagai tukang ojek adalah profesi yang umum ditemui di Kecamatan Seko, Kabupaten Luwu Utara, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami makna kerjaan tukang ojek Seko pendekatan teologi kontekstual model transendental. Fokus utama penelitian adalah bagaimana makna kerja tukang ojek Seko pendekatan teologi kontekstual model transendental. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman religius para tukang ojek secara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mereka tidak sekadar melihat pekerjaan ini sebagai mata pencaharian, tetapi juga sebagai sarana untuk merasakan pertolongan dan penyertaan Tuhan. Hal ini sangat nyata terutama saat mereka menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti kecelakaan atau kerusakan motor di tengah perjalanan. Mereka meyakini bahwa Tuhan selalu menyertai dan menolong mereka di setiap perjalanan. Selain itu, penelitian menegaskan bahwa praktik berteologi tidak terbatas oleh ruang dan waktu, tidak hanya berlangsung di gedung gereja atau dalam lingkungan akademik saja. ABSTRACT The occupation of motorcycle taxi driver is a common profession in Seko District, North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province. This study aims to understand the meaning of this work for Seko’s motorcycle taxi drivers from the perspective of contextual theology, using the transcendental model. The primary focus of the research is to explore how these drivers interpret their work through that theological approach.This qualitative study employs a phenomenological method to deeply explore the religious experiences of the motorcycle taxi drivers. The findings reveal that they view their occupation not merely as a means of livelihood, but also as a way to experience God’s help and presence. This is especially evident when they face various challenges—such as accidents or mechanical breakdowns during journeys. They firmly believe that God continuously accompanies and assists them in every trip. Moreover, the study emphasizes that theological practice is not confined by space or time; it does not occur only within church buildings or academic settings.
