Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pendeta sebagai motivator dalam meningkatkan keaktifan pemuda mengikuti ibadah di Gereja Bethel Tabernakel Jemaat Adong. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendeta memainkan peran penting sebagai motivator melalui tiga aspek utama: sebagai pengajar yang menginspirasi, sebagai pendorong pertumbuhan iman, dan sebagai teladan dalam pelayanan. Pendeta tidak hanya menyampaikan Firman Tuhan, tetapi juga membangun relasi pribadi dengan pemuda, memberikan motivasi secara konsisten, serta melibatkan mereka dalam berbagai bentuk pelayanan. Meskipun sebagian pemuda menunjukkan respons positif dan peningkatan keaktifan, sebagian lainnya masih pasif karena kendala pribadi. Namun, upaya pendeta terus dilakukan melalui pendekatan yang relevan dan pembinaan yang berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: peran pendeta, motivator, keaktifan pemuda, ibadah. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the role of the pastor as a motivator in increasing youth participation in worship at the Bethel Tabernacle Church, Adong Congregation. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the pastor plays a significant role as a motivator through three main aspects: as an inspiring teacher, as a promoter of spiritual growth, and as a role model in ministry. The pastor not only delivers the Word of God but also builds personal relationships with the youth, provides consistent motivation, and involves them in various forms of ministry. Although some youths respond positively and show increased participation, others remain passive due to personal challenges. Nevertheless, the pastor continues to make efforts through relevant approaches and ongoing spiritual development. Keywords: pastor's role, motivator, youth participation, worship.
