Abstract

Fika Sumule 2020207876 menulis sebuah karya tulis dengan judul “Peran Gembala Dalam Mengatasi Praktik Judi Online Di Kalangan Persekutuan Pemuda Gereja Toraja Jemaat Mariri Klasis Rantepao Barat”. Skripsi Jurusan Teologi Kristen, Fakultas Teologi dan Sosiologi Kristen, Institut Agama Kristen Negeri (IAKN) Toraja, dibimbing oleh Ferdi Sapan Alextian, M.Psi (Pembimbing I) dan Ones Kristiani Rapa', M.Si (Pembimbing II). Skripsi ini diangkat melalui latar belakang masalah mengenai judi online yang dilakukan oleh pemuda yang mengancam stabilitas dan komitmen agama mereka di Jemaat Mariri, sehingga peran gembala sebagai pemimpin rohani sangat penting dalam menghadapi masalah ini. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya peran gembala untuk mengatasi masalah perjudian online yang dialami oleh pemuda Jemaat Mariri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi kata, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran gembala dan majelis gereja belum sepenuhnya melakukan perannya dengan baik seperti memberikan perhatian yang cukup kepada pemuda dan tidak memberikan wadah untuk menyalurkan minat bakat pemuda sehingga pemuda melakukan penyimpangan. Ini menunjukkan bahwa perlunya peningkatan peran gembala dalam jemaat, melakukan pembenahan dalam struktur pelayanan gereja. Alkitab dapat memberikan panduan bagi gembala tentang bagaimana seharusnya mereka berperilaku sebagai penggembala yang baik melindungi jemaat dari pengaruh buruk. ABSTRACT Fika Sumule (2020207876) authored a thesis titled "The Role of Pastors in Addressing Online Gambling Practices Among Youth in the Toraja Church Youth Fellowship of the Mariri Congregation, West Rantepao Classis". This thesis was submitted to the Department of Christian Theology, Faculty of Theology and Christian Sociology, Institut Agama Kristen Negeri (IAKN) Toraja, under the guidance of Ferdi Sapan Alextian, M.Psi (Supervisor I) and Ones Kristiani Rapa', M.Si (Supervisor II). This thesis was raised through the background of the problem of online gambling conducted by youth that threatens their stability and religious commitment in the Mariri Congregation, so that the role of the pastor as a spiritual leader is very important in dealing with this problem. The purpose to be achieved in this study is to find out the efforts of the pastor's role to overcome the problem of online gambling experienced by the youth of Mariri Congregation. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques were then analyzed through word reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the role of pastors and church assemblies has not fully performed its role well such as giving enough attention to youth and not providing a forum to channel the interests of youth talent so that youth commit deviation. This suggests that there is a need to increase the role of pastors in the congregation, revamping the structure of church services. The Bible can provide guidance for pastors on how they should behave as good shepherds protecting the congregation from bad influences. Keywords: Online Gambling, Role of Pastor, Youth, Church.
