Abstract

Cristien Friskilia Parinussa: 2020196771, tahun 2023 telah menyusun skripsi yang berjudul TEOLOGI KERJA JHON CALVIN: Kaitan Teologi Kerja Jhon Calvin dengan Spiritualitas Kerja Manusia Toraja sebagai Respon Keselamatan di Jemaat Marintang. Dibawah bimbingan Bapak Dr.Yohanis Luni, M.Th selaku pembimbing I dan Bapak Darius, M.Th selaiku pembimbing II. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pengamatan mengenai pekerjaan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat umum terkhusus pada Jemaat Marintang yang telah memasuki usia produktif, namun apakah dalam pekerjaannya masih memiliki spiritualitas kerja yang sependapat dengan Calvin dalam melihat pekerjaan sebagai bagian untuk memuliakan Allah. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dari hasil wawancara dan pengamatan, serta analisis data yang penulis lakukan bahwa spiritualitas kerja manusia Toraja pada Gereja Toraja Jemaat Marintang juga menghidupi konsep bekerja yang dihidupi oleh Calvin sebagai panggilan untuk memuliakan Allah. Pandangan kerja melalui spiritualitas kerja yang hidupi oleh manusia Toraja sependapat juga dengan pandangan Jhon Calvin mengenai Etos kerja yang memuliakan Allah. ABSTRACT Cristien Friskilia Parinussa: 2020196771, year 2023 has compiled a thesis entitled JHON CALVIN’S THEOLOGY OF WORK: The Relationship between Pion Calvin’s Theology of Work and the Spirituality of Toraja Hunian Work as a Response to Salvation in theMarintang Congregation. Under the guidance of Mr. Dr. Yohanis Luni, M.Th as supervisor I and Mr. Darius, M.Th as supervisor II. This research is motivated by observations regarding the work done by the general public, especially the Marintang congregation who have entered their productive age, but do they still have a work spirituality that agrees with Calvin in seeing work as part of glorifying God. The author uses a research method with a cjualitative approach. From the results of interviews and observations, as well as data analysis conducted by the author, it is clear that the spirituality of Toraja human work at the Marintang Congregation of Toraja also embodies the concept ofwork that is lived by Calvin as a call to glorify God. The view ofwork through the spirituality ofwork that is lived by Toraja people also agrees with]hon Calvin’s view of a work ethic that glorifies God.
