Abstract

The friendly relationship is a necessity for students who are experiencing change and development both psycho-social and psychological. Psycho-social changes in body shape that sometimes do not match expectations, lead to psychological freedom, therefore, students need friendly relationships in which there is a relationship of mutual influence and conformity as a form of adjustment t o the environment. In conformity, students often follow blindly so they don't consider the impact. This has an impact on Christian character as mandated in the Book of Proverbs 1: 7, namely that the fear of God is the beginning of knowledge, but fools insult wisdom and upbringing. This problem is formulated in the implementation of research that is focused on analyzing the impact of association on the Christian character of students which aims to analyze the impact of association. This study uses a quantitative method showing that the interaction of the dimensions of friendship, mutual influence and conformity simultaneously has a significant influence on the character of students who have the dimensions of knowing Allah, honesty and perseverance. Association contributes to the character of students by 44.4% and the remaining 55.6% is influenced by other factors. of 44.4%, the simultaneous influence of the friendship relationship contributed 10,5%, the mutual influence dimension was 7.9% and the conformity dimension was 26.0%. This study ends by accepting the research hypothesis that there is a significant influence o n student character. Keywords: Association, Conformity, Character Fear of God.
