Abstract

Pendeta atau gembala dapat dikatakan sebagai salah satu pemimpin, yakni pemimpin atas Jemaatnya, diatas pemimpin kepala gereja yaitu Yesus Kristus yang telah memberikan anugerah kepada hamba-hambanya untuk pemimpin pengikut-pengikutnya. Realita dalam ranah kepemimpinan Pendeta Gereja pada saat ini, yang terjadi adalah masih kurangnya pemahaman akan nilai-nilai panggilan mereka sebagai pemimpin warga jemaat, sehingga dalam mengaktualisasikannya masih sangat terbatas dan kurang ada komitmen. Dalam kaitannya dengan kepemimpinan, dari segi arti dan teori mungkin saja mereka sudah pelajari, namun di sisi lain mereka belum mampu untuk sepenuhnya melibatkan diri sebagai pemimpin kristiani dalam praktek sehari-hari. Dalam menanggapi persoalan tersebut, proses transformasi sangatlah perlu dari para Pendeta yang adalah pemimpin dalam jemaat bagaimana sesungguhnya mendalami dengan sungguh-sungguh panggilan dari Allah itu serta membatinkannya dalam hati serta bagaimana untuk terus menghayati serta mengimani dalam diri tentang kepemimpinan Kegembalaan Yesus Kristus sang Pemimpin sejati sebagaimana yang dikisahkan dalam Injil Yohanes 10:1-18 mengungkapkan tentang perkataan Yesus yang adalah "gembala yang baik". Oleh karena itu, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana konsep kepemimpinan Gembala berdasarkan injil Yohanes 10:1-18 dan implikasinya terhadap tanggung jawab pendeta sebagai pemimpin dalam jemaat di Klasis Makale Tengah, metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitik.Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan, Gembala, Yohanes 10:1-18, Pendeta. ABSTRACT The pastor or shepherd can be said to be one of the leaders, namely the leader of his congregation, above the leader of the head of the church, namely Jesus Christ who has given gifts to his servants for the leaders of his followers. The reality in the realm of Church Pastors’ leadership at this time, what happens is that there is still a lack of understanding of the values of their vocation as leaders of the congregation, so that in actualizing them there is still very limited and lack of commitment. In relation to leadership, in terms of meaning and theory they may have leamed, but on the other hand they have not been able to fully involve themselves as Christian leaders in daily practice. In responding to this problem, the transformation process is very necessary for Pastors who are leaders in the congregation how to truly deepen the call from God and take it deep in their hearts and how to continue to live and believe in themselves about the leadership of the Shepherd of Jesus Christ the true Leader as which is narrated in the Gospel of John 10:1-18 reveals the words of Jesus who is the "good shepherd”. Therefore, this paper aims to understand how the concept of Shepherd leadership is based on the gospel of John 10:1-18 and its implications for the pastor’s responsibility as a leader in the congregation in Klasis Makale Tengah. The research method used in this research is qualitative research. The approach used is descriptive analytic. Keywords: Leadership, Shepherd, John 10:1-18, Pastor.
