Abstract
Penelitian dan penulisan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pendampingan pastoral terhadap motherless children di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Rantepasilo Klasis Sangalla’ Selatan. Penelitian ini di dukung oleh fakta permasalahan yang terjadi di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Rantepasilo terkait pendampingan pastoral bagi motherless children. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang di gunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Meplalui penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengkaji terhadap motherless children di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Rantepasilo Klasis Sangalla’ Selatan. Hasil dari penelitian ini pendampingan pastoral terhadap motherless children di Jemaat Rantepasilo telah dilakukan dan di programkan hanya saja dalam pelaksanaannya belum maksimal sehingga dampak yang dari pendampingan ini tidak begitu di rasakan oleh motherless children. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kesadaran majelis gereja akan tangggungjawabnya masih sangat kurang, beberapa majelis gereja lebih memprioritaskan pekerjaaan atau urusan pribadinya ketimbang melakukan tanggungjawab pelayanan. Selain itu majelis gereja pada dasarnya menyadari bahwa pendampingan pastoral itu penting dilakukan hanya saja yang mejadi kendala ialah kurangnya pemahaman pada cara melakukan pendampingan pastoral itu dan pendampingan hanya dilakukan satu kali. Hal lain yang menjadi penyebab tidak maksimalnya pendampingan pastoral ialah kurang keteladanan dari majelis gereja padahal antusias motherless children untuk mengikuti pendampingan pastoral cukup baik. ABSTRACT The research and writing of this final assignment aims to examine pastoral care for motherless children in the Toraja Church of the Rantepasilo Klasis Sangalla' South Congregation. This research is supported by the facts of the problems that occur in the Toraja Church of the Rantepasilo Congregation regarding pastoral care for motherless children. In this research, the method used is a qualitative approach. This research is intended to examine motherless children in the Toraja Church of the South Rantepasilo Klasis Sangalla' Congregation. The results of this research are that pastoral assistance for motherless children in the Rantepasilo congregation has been carried out and programmed, however the implementation has not been optimal so that the impact of this assistance is not really felt by the motherless children. This is because the church council's awareness of its responsibilities is still very poor, some church councils prioritize their work or personal affairs rather than carrying out their service responsibilities. Apart from that, the church council basically realizes that pastoral assistance is important, but the obstacle is the lack of understanding of how to provide pastoral assistance and the assistance is only carried out once. Another thing that causes pastoral assistance not to be optimal is the lack of example from the church council even though the enthusiasm of motherless children to participate in pastoral assistance is quite good.
