Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki penyebab pemuda tidak aktif dalam beribadah dan pelayanan serta untuk mengetahui peran PAK dalam meningkatkan keaktifan pedua di gereja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari Pemuda, majelis gereja bidang OIG dan pengurus PPGT Jemaat Issong Kalua’berjuamlah sepuluh orang. Data dijaring dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara dan di dianalisis dengan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemuda di gereja kurang aktif dalam mengikuti ibadah dan kegiatan yang ada di gereja. Hal ini di sebabkan oleh kurangnya kesadaran pemuda akan peran dan tanggung jawabnya sebagai pemuda gereja. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gereja dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang peran penting pemuda dalam ibadah melalui program PAK yang relevan, seperti kelas pembinaan iman, pelatihan pelayanan, dan ibadah kreatif. Gereja juga membantu menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung untuk pemuda, seperti komunitas yang inklusif dan pembimbing yang berpengalaman. Penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran kreatif dan interaktif, seperti teknologi akan menarik minat generasi muda. Dengan demikian gereja sebagai pelaksana PAK memiliki peran strategis dalam membangun keaktifan beribadah pemuda, yang berdampak pada pertumbuhan iman dan keberlanjutan pelayanan gereja. ABSTRACT This research aims to investigate the causes of youth not being active in worship and service and to determine the role of Christian Religious Education (PAK) in increasing youth activity in the church. This research uses a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of youth, the church council in the OIG sector and the PPGT administrators of the Issong Kalua' congregation, a group of ten people. Data was collected using interview techniques and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of this research show that youth in the church are less active in participating in worship and activities in the church. This is caused by a lack of youth awareness of their roles and responsibilities as church youth. The results of this research indicate that churches can provide a better understanding of the important role of youth in worship through relevant PAK programs, such as faith formation classes, service training, and creative worship. Churches also help create supportive environments for youth, such as inclusive communities and experienced mentors. The use of creative and interactive learning approaches, such as technology, will attract the interest of the younger generation. In this way, the church as the implementer of PAK has a strategic role in building active youth worship, which has an impact on the growth of faith and the sustainability of church services.
