Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengakuan iman Gereja lahir sebagai bentuk doksologi dan apologetika iman Kristen. Pengakuan iman muncul dari puja-puji terhadap Allah dan pergulatan antara iman Kristen dengan konteks kehadiran gereja. Ada berbagai macam pengakuan iman yang telah dirumuskan mulai dari zaman Patristik hingga saat ini. Salah satunya Pengakuan Gereja Toraja yang menjadi pengakuan bersama seluruh warga Gereja Toraja. Di dalam Pengakuan Gereja Toraja (PGT) terdapat doktrin manusia mati seutuhnya (keterpisahan dari Allah dan tubuh dan jiwa mengalami kematian serta tubuh dan jiwa mengalami kematian). Namun, hal ini bertentangan dengan realitas yang dilihat oleh para patiro bombo. Patiro bombo adalah kemampuan untuk melihat bombo (jiwa/roh) yang keluar dari tubuh manusia yang hidup dan menandakan bahwa manusia tersebut akan segera meninggal dunia. Bagaimana membaca fenomena patiro bombo dalam kehidupan manusia Toraja dan Pengakuan Gereja Toraja? Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian fenomena, etnografi, wawancara dan metodologi teologi konstruktif (bricolage dan teologi multitekstual) serta pengalaman patiro bombo dibaca dalam perspektif teologi mistik dan theosis. Maka, hasil penelitian ini yaitu pertama, patiro bombo sebagai pengalaman mistik sekaligus pengalaman spiritualitas warga Gereja Toraja. Kedua, patiro bombo dan bombo sebagai pengalaman mistik menuju penyatuan dengan Allah. Ketiga, patiro bombo dan bombo dapat menjadi jalan menyusun konsep eskatologis Gereja Toraja dengan mengaitkannya dengan mendeata dan membali puang yang diberikan pemaknaan yang baru. Keempat, patiro bombo menjadi penguat bagi doktrin manusia mati seutuhnya bahwa ketika manusia meninggal bombo (arwah) tidak terlihat lagi. Kata Kunci: patiro bombo, mistik, theosis, pengalaman, spiritual, manusia. ABSTRACT The Church's confession of faith was born as a form of doxology and apologetics of the Christian faith. Confession of faith arises from praise for God and the struggle between Christian faith and the context of church presence. There are various kinds of confessions of faith that have been formulated from the Patristic era to the present. One of them is the Toraja Church Confession which is the joint confession of all members of the Toraja Church. In the Toraja Church Confession (PGT) there is the doctrine of complete human death (separation from God and the body and soul experiencing death and the body and soul experiencing death). However, this is contrary to the reality seen by the patiro bombo. Patiro bombo is the ability to see the bombo (soul/spirit) that comes out of the body of a living human and indicates that the human will soo die. How to read the patiro bombo phenomenon in Toraja human life and the Toraja Church Confession. By using a qualitative approach and types of phenomenon research, ethnography, interviews and constructive theology methodology (bricolage and multitextual theology) as well as the experience of patiro bombo is read from the perspective of mystical theology and theosis. So, the results of this research are first, patiro bombo as a mystical experience as well as an experience of spirituality for Toraja Church members. Second, patiro bombo and bombo as a mystical experience leading to union with God. Third, patiro bombo and bombo can be a way of formulating the eschatological concept of the Toraja Church by linking it with deata and paying puang which is given a new meaning. Fourth, patiro bombo is a reinforcement for the doctrine of complete human death that when a human dies the bombo (spirit) is no longer visible.
