Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian dan penulisan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemahaman setiap warga jemaat khususnya Jemaat Biringkanaya mengenai arti dan makna Baptisan Kudus. Dalam penelitian ini didukung oleh fakta permasalahan yang terjadi di jemaat Biringkanaya mengenai pemahaman yang masih keliru mengenai Baptisan Kudus. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah masih ada warga jemaat yang belum memahami betul apa arti dan makna Baptisan Kudus itu dikarenakan kurangnya pembinaan yang dilakukan oleh pendeta dan majelis gereja kepada anggota jemaat, sehingga orangtua yang ingin menyerahkan anaknya untuk dibaptis belum memahami betul tanggung jawabnya dan sebagian anggota jemaat menjadikan pelaksanaan baptisan itu sebagai formalitas saja. Kata Kunci: Pendampingan, Baptisan Kudus ABSTRAC The research and writing ofthis final project aims to examine the understanding of every member of the congregation, especially the Biringkanaya Congregation regarding the meaning and significance of Holy Baptism. In this study, it is supported by the facts of the problem that occurred in the Biringkanaya Congregation regarding the erroneous understanding of Holy Baptism. In this study the method used is a qualitative approach. The results of this study are that there are still members of the congregation who do not fully understand the meaning and significance ofHoly Baptism due to the lack of guidance carried out by pastors and church councils to church members, so that parents who want to send their children to be baptized do not fully understand their responsibilities and some members the congregation makes the baptism as aformality only.
