Abstract

Salah satu hal yang erat kaitannya dengan Orang Dengan HIV/AIDS (ODHA) adalah adanya perspektif dari masyarakat. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perspektif yang ada di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Batusura’ terhadap ODHA berdasarkan Teologi Pastoral kisah Ayub. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan penulis menganalisis perspektif anggota jemaat di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Batusura’ terhadap ODHA berupa kata-kata deskriptif baik secara lisan maupun tulisan. Setelah menganalisis perspektif di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Batusura’ terhadap ODHA, penulis menemukan bahwa ketiga sahabat Ayub menanggapi penderitaan Ayub dengan menggunakan pendekatan deduktif yang berangkat dari teologi retributif. Pemahaman ini juga ditemukan dalam perspektif dari anggota jemaat terhadap ODHA di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Batusura’. Beberapa jemaat menilai penyakit HIV/AIDS sebagai aib, kutukan dan akibat dari dosa karena telah menodai tubuhnya sendiri. Perspektif lain yang ada di Jemaat tidak menyetujui anggapan bahwa penyakit HIV/AIDS merupakan aib dan kutukan karena mereka menganggap bahwa HIV/AIDS hanyalah sebuah penyakit. One of the things about ODHA is the perspective of society. This scripture aims to analyse the perspective that exists in the Toraja Church of Batusura’ against ODHA based on the Pastoral Theology of Job’s story. The approach used is a qualitative approach. This approach allows the author to analyse the perspective of the members of the Batusura Toraja Church’s congregation on ODHA as descriptive words both orally and in writing. After analysing the perspectives of the batusura Church on the ODHA, the author finds that the three friends of Job responded to Job’s suffering by using a deductive approach based on retributive theology. This understanding is also found in the perspective of the members of the congregation against ODHA in the Batusura Toraja Church. Some congregations judge HIV/AIDS as a disgrace, a curse and the consequence of sin for having defiled their own bodies.
