Abstract

ABSTRAK Judul skripsi Analisis Peran Majelis Gereja Dalam Menghadapi Money Politic di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Batang Palli Klasis Sa’dan Matallo, yang ditulis oleh Piter Palembangan (3020207474) merupakan sebuah tulisan yang dirangkai dalam model untuk dialog terhadap masyarakat dan jemaat Batang Palli, yang disusun oleh penulis di bawah bimbingan Sepriadi Bunga’, S.Pd., M.Ag sebagai pembimbing 1, dan Admadi Balloara Dase,S.Th, M.Hum. sebagai pembimbing 2. Money politic menjadi sebuah isu yang cukup meresakan tokoh gereja, khususnya di jemaat Batang Palli. Untuk itu, penulis melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk menemukan praktik money politic yang terjadi dalam lingkungan jemaat Batang Palli. Selain itu, juga bertujuan untuk menemukan peran dan tindakan majelis jemaat dalam menyikapi aktivitas money politic yang merusak persekutuan dalam gereja. Metode penelitian dalam tulisan tersebut adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Kualitatif dikembangkan dalam studi kepustakaan dan analisis sosial. Studi kepustakaan dikelolah melalui literature-literatur terpercaya seperti buku, artikel/jurnal dan sumber-sumber internet yang relevan. Analisis sosial dilakukan dengan model deskriptif untuk menemukan bentuk-bentuk realitas yang terjadi dalam masyarakat melalui teknik wawancara. Beberapa teori pendukung yang penulis jadikan sebagai rujukan dalam penelitian seperti teori politik, gereja dan sosial. Zakharia Ngelow menjadi dasar utama dalam berteori untuk menemukan langkah praktis majelis jemaat gereja Toraja dalam menyikapi praktik politik yang tidak sehat. Berdasarkan kajian dan analisis yang dilakukan oleh penulis, maka ditemukan bahwa majelis selain melakukan pelayanan mimbar, majelis gereja juga dapat membentuk kelompok-kelompok diskusi, penyebarluasan konten-konten yang bermanfaat dan dapat membangun, dan penguatan program kerja jemaat Batang Palli dalam hal perkunjungan kasih. Kata Kunci : Money Politic, Majelis, Gereja ABSTRACT The title of the thesis on the role of the Toraja church council of the Batang Palli congregation in responding to money politics, written by Piter Palembangan (3020207474) is an article that is put together in a model for dialogue with the community and congregation of Batang Palli, which was prepared by the author under the guidance of Sepriadi Bunga', S .Pd., M.Ag as supervisor 1, and Admadi Balloara Dase, S.Th, M.Hum. as a mentor 2. Political money is an issue that is quite disturbing for church leaders, especially in the Batang Palli congregation. For this reason, the author conducted research with the aim of finding money political practices that occurred within the Batang Palli congregation. Apart from that, it also aims to discover the role and actions of the congregational council in responding to money political activities that damage fellowship in the church. The research method in this article is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Qualitative is developed in literature studies and social analysis. Literature studies are managed through trusted literature such as books, articles/journals and relevant internet sources. Social analysis is carried out using a descriptive model to discover forms of reality that occur in society through interview techniques. The author uses several supporting theories as references in research, such as political, church and social theories. Zakharia Ngelow is the main basis for theorizing to find practical steps for Toraja church congregations in responding to unhealthy political practices. Based on the study and analysis carried out by the author, it was found that apart from carrying out pulpit services, the church assembly can also form discussion groups, disseminate useful and constructive content, and strengthen the work program of the Batang Palli congregation in terms of love visits.
