Abstract
ABSTRAK Tradisi sisemba’ merupakan tradisi yang dimaknai sebagai tanda kegembiraan dan ungkapan syukur atas selesainya panen padi. Namun, yang menjadi masalah yaitu ketika tradisi ini justru dijadikan para pemuda sebagai agen balas dendam baik itu karena masalah pribadi dari luar atau karena ketidakterimaan pada saat permainan karena menerima banyak tendangan dari lawan main. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman masyarakat Sereale mengenai nilai edukasi karakter kristiani dalam implementasi tradisi sisemba’. Berdasarkan tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam tulisan ini, maka metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tradisi sisemba’ perlu dilestarikan dan diwariskan secara turun-temurun mengingat bahwa di dalam tradisi sisemba’ memiliki nilai-nilai karakter kristiani. Adapun nilai edukasi karakter kristiani yang terdapat di dalam tradisi sisemba’ berdasarkan hasil analisis peneliti yaitu, pengendalian diri, nilai mengampuni, nilai sukacita, nilai tidak dendam terhadap yang lain, nilai persatuan, nilai kesabaran dan persaudaraan. Nilai-nilai inilah yang perlu diwariskan dan dihidupi oleh setiap masyarakat yang menyaksikan terlebih yang ikut terlibat dalam tradisi ini sehingga tradisi sisemba’ benar-benar dimaknai sebagai luapan tanda sukacita agar tidak berujung pada konflik atau permusuhan. ABSTRACT The sisemba’ tradition" is a tradition that is interpreted as a sign of joy and an expression of gratitude for the completion of the rice harvest. However, the problem is when this tradition is actually used by young people as revenge agents either because of personal problems from outside or because of unacceptance during the game because they receive many kicks from co-stars. Therefore, this research aims to describe the understanding of the sereale community regarding the educational value of Christian character in the implementation of the sisemba' tradition. Based on the goals to be achieved in this article, the method used is a qualitative method with a phenomenological study approach. The results of this research show that the sisemba' tradition needs to be preserved and inherited from generation to generation considering that in the sisemba' tradition there are values of Christian character. As for the educational value of Christian characters contained in the sisemba' tradition based on the results of the researcher's analysis, namely, self-control, the value of forgiveness, the value of joy, the value of not revenge against others, the value of unity, the value of patience and brotherhood. These values need to be inherited and lived by every community that witnesses, especially those who are involved in this tradition so that the sisemba' tradition is really interpreted as an overflow of joy so that it does not lead to conflict or hostility.
