Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran manajemen gereja terhadap ketidakteraturan pelayanan Sekolah Minggu di Tempat Kebaktian Pangkung Batu. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap majelis, pengurus, pelayan, dan anak Sekolah Minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen gereja telah diterapkan melalui fungsi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. Aspek yang paling kuat terdapat pada perencanaan, yang ditandai dengan kejelasan tujuan pelayanan dan adanya program kerja. Sementara itu, ketidakteraturan pelayanan masih terjadi karena pelaksanaan dan pengawasan belum berjalan optimal, yang terlihat dari rendahnya kehadiran sebagian pelayan, kurangnya komitmen terhadap jadwal pelayanan, kendala transportasi, serta tindak lanjut evaluasi yang belum maksimal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ketidakteraturan pelayanan Sekolah Minggu bukan disebabkan oleh tidak adanya manajemen gereja, melainkan karena pelaksanaan fungsi-fungsi manajemen yang belum optimal dan konsisten. ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the role of church management in the irregularity of Sunday School services at the Pangkung Batu Worship Center. The study used qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation with the Sunday School council, administrators, servants, and children. The results indicate that church management has been implemented through planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising functions. The strongest aspect is planning, characterized by clear service objectives and a work program. Meanwhile, irregularity in services persists because implementation and supervision have not been optimal, as evidenced by low attendance among servants, a lack of commitment to the service schedule, transportation constraints, and suboptimal evaluation follow-up. This study concludes that the irregularity of Sunday School services is not caused by a lack of church management, but rather by the suboptimal and inconsistent implementation of management functions.
