Abstract
Penelitian ini berangkat dari masalah maraknya video absurd Italian Brainrot yang memengaruhi konsentrasi belajar siswa Generasi Alpha di SDN Kecil Bojo. Paparan video singkat dengan visual hiperstimulasi dan narasi repetitif menimbulkan gangguan fokus serta melemahkan nilai karakter Kristiani. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dampak paparan video tersebut terhadap konsentrasi belajar siswa sekaligus implikasinya bagi pendidikan karakter kristiani. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paparan Italian Brainrot menyebabkan penurunan konsentrasi belajar siswa, seperti mudah bosan, menambah Extraneous load, berkurangnya kemampuan siswa mempertahankan fokus, menimbulkan overstimulasi, menurunya ketajaman perhatian dan daya ingat siswa, serta berkurangnya ketekunan rohani siswa. Hal ini berdampak pada melemahnya karakter kristiani, khususnya kesabaran, pengendalian diri, dan kesetiaan, sehingga diperlukan strategi pendidikan yang mampu menyeimbangkan pengaruh budaya digital dengan pembentukan karakter rohani. ABSTRACT This study stems from the widespread circulation of absurd Italian Brainrot videos that have affected the concentration of Generation Alpha students at SDN Kecil Bojo. Exposure to short videos with hyper-stimulating visuals and repetitive narratives causes impaired focus and weakens Christian character values. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of exposure to these videos on students' concentration and its implications for Christian character education. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results show that exposure to Italian Brainrot causes a decrease in students' concentration, such as boredom, increased Extraneous load, reduced ability to maintain focus, causing overstimulation, decreased sharpness of attention and memory, and reduced spiritual perseverance. This has an impact on weakening Christian character, especially patience, self-control, and loyalty, so that educational strategies are needed that can balance the influence of digital culture with the formation of spiritual character.
