Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran musik terhadap kesehatan mental pemuda di Gereja Toraja Mamasa Jemaat Galung melalui pendekatan teologis terhadap narasi 1 Samuel 16:23. Masalah utama yang diangkat adalah tingginya tingkat stres dan kecemasan yang dialami pemuda gereja akibat tekanan sosial dan spiritual. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara musik dan kesehatan mental dari perspektif teologi, psikologi, dan musikologi, dengan mengintegrasikan ketiga disiplin ilmu tersebut sebagai landasan teori. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik studi pustaka dan analisis naratif Alkitab dan peneltian lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa musik, sebagaimana dicontohkan dalam kisah Daud dan Saul, efektif sebagai terapi psiko-spiritual yang mampu membantu pemuda mengatasi tekanan mental serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan emosional di lingkungan gereja. Kata Kunci : Teologi,Psikologi,Musik,Pemuda,Mental, ABSTRACT This research examines the role of music on the mental health of youth in the Toraja Mamasa Galung congregation through a theological approach to the narrative of 1 Samuel 16:23. The main issue raised is the high level of stress and anxiety experienced by church youth due to social and spiritual pressures. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between music and mental health from the perspectives of theology, psychology, and musicology, by integrating the three disciplines as a theoretical foundation. The research method used was qualitative with literature study techniques and narrative analysis of the Bible and field research. The results showed that music, as exemplified in the story of David and Saul, is effective as a psycho-spiritual therapy that can help youth overcome mental stress and improve emotional well-being in the church environment.
