Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas pentingnya peran guru guru Sekolah Minggu dalam kehidupan Rohani anak-anak di Jemaat Buntu Marrang berdasarkan perspektif dari Markus 10:13-16. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pandangan bahwa anak-anak merupakan bagian penting dari Kerajaan Allah, sehingga pelayanan kepada mereka membutuhkan perhatian serius dan tanggung jawab Rohani yang besar, khususnya dari para guru Sekolah Minggu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sejauh mana peran Guru Sekolah Minggu berpengaruh dalam pertumbuhan iman anak-anak serta memahami tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam pelayan mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan model pendekatan teologis-Alkitabiah dan data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan beberapa informan, yaitu guru Sekolah Minggu, orang tua sekolah minggu, dan pimpinan jemaat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru Sekolah Minggu di Jemaat Buntu Marrang memiliki peran sangat penting, baik sebagai pengajar firman Tuhan, Pembina karakter, mau pun sebagai teladan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Para informan menilai bahwa kehadiran guru sekolah minggu yang berdedikasi dan memahami isi Alkitab sangat membantu dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kristiani kepada anak-anak. Namun demikian, masih ditemukan kendala seperti kurangnya pelatihan khusus bagi guru, minimnya bahan ajar ajar yang memadai, serta keterbatasan dukungan dari orang tua dan jemaat. Temuan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa guru Sekolah Minggu berperan sangat krusial dalam membawa anak-anak kepada Kristus sebagaimana dalam yang diajarkan dalam Markus 10:13-16. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya perhatian serius dari pihak gereja dalam membina, melatih, dan mendukung para guru agar pelayanan anak-anak dapat berjalan lebih efektif dan berdampak dalam jangka panjang. Kata Kunci: Sekolah Minggu, Peran Guru Sekolah Minggu, Markus 10:13-16 ABSTRACT This study discusses the importance of the role of Sunday School teachers in the spiritual life of children in the Buntu Marrang Congregation based on the perspective of Mark 10:13-16. This study is motivated by the view that children are an important part of the Kingdom of God, so that service to them requires serious attention and great spiritual responsibility, especially from Sunday School teachers. The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which the role of Sunday School teachers influences the growth of children's faith and to understand the challenges faced by teachers in their ministry. This study uses a qualitative research type with a theological-biblical approach model and data is collected through interviews with several informants, namely Sunday School teachers, Sunday school parents, and congregation leaders. The results show that Sunday School teachers in the Buntu Marrang Congregation have a very important role, both as teachers of God's word, character builders, and as role models in everyday life. The informants consider that the presence of dedicated Sunday School teachers who understand the contents of the Bible is very helpful in instilling Christian values in children. However, obstacles remain, such as a lack of specialized training for teachers, a lack of adequate teaching materials, and limited support from parents and congregations. The findings of this study confirm that Sunday School teachers play a crucial role in leading children to Christ, as taught in Mark 10:13-16. Therefore, the church needs to pay serious attention to developing, training, and supporting teachers so that children's ministry can be more effective and have a long-term impact.
