Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji 1 Korintus 11:11 dalam perspektif feminis Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza guna menggali makna teologis tentang kesetaraan gender dalam kehidupan iman. Pokok masalah yang dikaji adalah bagaimana ayat ini dapat ditafsirkan secara kritis untuk memberikan kontribusi pemikiran terhadap nilai kesetaraan dalam gereja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguraikan bagaimana tafsir 1 Koristus 11:11 berdasarkan pemikiran Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza dapat memberikan sumbangsih pemikiran mengenai kesetaraan. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif biblikal murni, dengan pendekatan hermeneutik feminis dari Fiorenza, terdapat empat pendekatan utama antara lain: hermeneutik kecurigaan, proklamasi, ingatan, dan pembayangan atau kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan laki-laki dan perempuan di hadapan Tuhan memiliki kesalingan yang intim. Ayat ini menawarkan dasar teologis bagi gereja untuk membangun relasi gender yang adil, setara, dan partisipatif dalam terang Injil Kristus. ABSTRACT This study examines 1 Corinthians 11:11 from the feminist perspective of Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza to explore the theological meaning of gender equality in the life of faith. The main problem studied is how this verse can be interpreted critically to contribute to the value of equality in the church. The purpose of this study is to describe how the interpretation of 1 Corinthians 11:11 based on the thoughts of Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza can contribute to the thinking on equality. The method used is a purely biblical qualitative research, with a feminist hermeneutic approach from Fiorenza, there are four main approaches, namely: the hermeneutics of suspicion, proclamation, memory, and imagination or creativity. The results of the study show that the relationship between men and women before God has an intimate interconnectedness. This verse offers a theological basis for the church to build just, equal, and participatory gender relations in the light of the Gospel of Christ.
