Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh tingginya angka penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan remaja yang merupakan masalah serius secara nasional. Meskipun di SMP Negeri 2 Rantepao belum ditemukan kasus penyalahgunaan narkoba. Namun, Guru BK telah memanfaatkan media video dalam bimbingan klasikal untuk mencegah penyalahgunaan narkoba. Penelitian ini di dasari oleh teori Andi Prastowo. Oleh karena itu, penulis tertarik meneliti topik ini karena penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan remaja terus meningkat dan media video lebih mudah menarik perhatian serta mudah di mengerti peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan media video dalam bimbingan klasikal untuk mencegah penyalahgunaan narkoba di kelas 8.12 SMP Negeri 2 Rantepao. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yakni wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media video dalam bimbingan klasikal dapat membantu peserta didik memiliki kesadaran untuk mencegah penyalahgunaan narkoba. Media video mampu memberikan pengalaman langsung dan lebih mudah dipahami serta menarik perhatian dibandingkan metode ceramah karena menyajikan informasi secara visual, emosional serta mampu menjangkau berbagai gaya belajar peserta didik. Kata kunci: Media Video, Bimbingan Klasikal, Pencegahan Penyalahgunaan Narkoba. ABSTRACT This research is based on the high rate of drug abuse among teenagers, which is a serious national issue. Although no cases of drug abuse have been found at SMP Negeri 2 Rantepao, the school counselor has utilized video media in classical guidance sessions to prevent drug abuse. This research is grounded in Andi Prastowo’s theory. The researcher is interested in this topic because drug abuse among teenagers continues to increase, and video media is more engaging and easier for students to understand. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of video media in classical guidance to prevent drug abuse among class 8.12 students at SMP Negeri 2 Rantepao. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results indicate that the use of video media in classical guidance helps students develop awareness to prevent drug abuse. Video media provides direct experiences and is easier to understand while attracting more attention compared to lecture methods, as it delivers information visually and emotionally while accommodating various student learning styles.
